Day One is complete and Buddy Perdue, Preston and I rode 118.4 miles from Nashville to Colbert Ferry which is just over the Tennesse River not far from Cherokee, Alabama. Preston noted that it puts the distance in perspective when you say you rode from Nashville to within a few miles of home. Wow.
The weather was perfect and everything went just as planned with no problems or hitches. Lori did a great job driving the car and getting ready for the rest stops. She filled bottles got the food ready. She was also the photographer for the day.
We did what we planned today so everything is right on schedule. Prayer works. Strength. Stamina. Safety. I am not about to pas out. Tired but I have felt worse after shorter rides. We ride to Tupelo tomorrow after worship.
