I am getting excited about my ride. It seems to be a daunting task but Marty Corbell assurred me last night it would be the easiest thing I have ever done. Obviously he has never been on a bicycle for 444 miles in 5 days. Day One will be the hardest. I need to ride about 115 miles to get to Colbert Ferry. Those first 115 miles are very hilly thus adding to the difficulty of the first day. This will make my trip back to Russellville easiest. I am coming back home in order to preach Sunday morning. It's Graduation Sunday and I wouldn't miss it. I want to speak into the hearts of our graduating seniors.
After worship I will return to the Trace and ride to Tupelo. This will keep the ride on track.
I will be posting nightly comments and pictures of the ride. Drop in and check on my progress.
Please pray for the ride. Pray for good weather. I can ride in the rain but it will not be as enjoyable. Just call me Captain Obvious. Pray for my strength and stamina. I have never done this distance this many days consecutively. That is the challenging part. In a way, it is a step of faith. During the ride, I will spend about 32 hours on my bike. That is a lot of hours in 5 straight days. But all for a great cause.
Pray I get all my ducks in a row before I leave. The logistics of this have been quite fascinating.
And if you want to give a little money you can. Just send me a private message and I will tell you how. To do this click on my profile and it will give you an email link. Thanks.

Alan, will be praying for you on your ride. I know God will give you the strength, stamina, and keep you safe as you peddle home. I am also praying that you have great weather for this task, but if not try riding between the rain drops or maybe your angels wings can help keep you dry :)
No really just know you are in for some wonderful God given surprises.
God Bless
